Race For Grace
The Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, Race For Grace is held each spring at Norwin High School. Offering something for everyone, participants have the option to run a 5K, walk a 5K, or walk a 1 Mile course. Beyond the race itself, the day is packed with family-friendly entertainment, extensive children’s activities, impressive Chinese and Silent Auctions, charitable hair donations, live dance performances, full concession stand for breakfast and lunch, and a merchandise gift store. Grace attended the inaugural race held in December 2007 and this special event continues to draw the community together, not only to raise funds and awareness for DIPG, but to honor and celebrate her beautiful life.
Golf For Grace
The Foundation’s fall fundraiser is held each September to spotlight Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Established in 2009, the golf outing is played under a scramble format, with several contests and exciting prizes offered. Ending the day with a lovely dinner, open to both golfers and non-golfers, allows supporters to gather in a relaxed atmosphere to announce awards and auction winners. The theme of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is woven into the intricate details of this fun event.
Cookies With Claus
The Foundation’s winter fundraiser is the perfect kickoff to the holiday season. In a most festive setting, families partake in an enjoyable breakfast before meeting the guest of honor – Santa Claus! Children have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with Santa, including sitting on his lap and having their photo taken, all without a rush or long waiting lines. A complimentary family photo is given as part of the ticket price. Attendees also receive a Christmas ornament, customized each year as a Foundation keepsake.
