Brief Description
The 5th Annual Race For Grace 5K & 1 Mile Walk benefits the Reflections Of Grace Foundation. Race For Grace and its beneficiary Foundation are named after Grace Elizabeth Ekis, a precious 5-year-old who lost her courageous 13-month battle with a rare cancerous brain tumor on Valentine’s Day 2008. Grace’s cancer was a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a tumor of the brainstem for which there is no known cure and there have been no advances in treatment options for more than 30 years.

Reviews From The 4th Annual Race For Grace:
“This was my first time participating in the event and I will be back year after year. Great cause, very organized, family oriented, nice course (tough, but nice) and great group of volunteers...everything to make an event successful!! It's great to have a local/ hometown event with this amount of participation for a local family. Grace is remembered and missed by all who knew or met her!”
“The Race For Grace was my first ever 5K, I used it as preparation for the Pittsburgh Marathon. It's a great family friendly event filled with activities, food and raffles. The course is very hilly, but doable. I hope to be back again!”
“I loved this event. It was the most organized and fun event I've participated in. Loved all the extra things; 50/50, kid's corner, concession stand, Chinese raffle, silent auction and all the stuff you could buy. With so many volunteers it went off without a hitch. My first time at this event but not my last. See you next year!” Reflections Of Grace Foundation is an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations to which are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
